    The Optunia microdasys, commonly called the Polka-dot Cactus or Bunny Ear cactus, is named for its distinctive flattened, pad-shaped stems that resemble bunny ears. The Bunny Ear cactus is an easy-care houseplant that produces bright yellow flowers in the spring and summer that are followed by an edible red fruit. 

    Origin: Bunny Ear Cactus are native to Central & Northern Mexico's arid desert region.

    Bunny Ear Cactus Care: The Bunny Ear Cactus is a low-maintenance houseplant that enjoys full sun and a very well-draining cactus mix; water sparingly and let the soil dry completely between waterings.

    Pet-Safe Houseplants: Non-toxic if ingested by pets, but their sharp needles can cause injury to skin and mouth.
