The Olive tree is loved for the fragrant white flowers that bloom along the branches from late spring to early summer. The fruits are produced in abundance from mid-summer to early fall. The Olive Tree makes an excellent statement plant with glossy narrow leaves that remain dark green throughout the winter. 

Botanical Name: Olea europaea

Origin: The Olive Tree originates in the Mediterranean basin, Asia Minor and parts of Africa with cultivation dating back over 6,000 years. 

Plant Care

Light: Olive trees thrive in bright light and full sun.

Soil and Water: Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot. They are a drought tolerant plant.

Olive trees make great indoor statement plants and can thrive as an outdoor plant, but bring indoors if temperatures drop below freezing.
