The Ficus Altissima, sometimes called a False Banyan or Yellow Gem Ficus has thick rubbery leaves in shades of green, chartreuse and yellow. This lemon and lime beauty will develop deeper contrast and variegation with ideal light conditions. The Yellow Gem Ficus can grow to eight or ten feet in height and shines as a beautiful indoor tree.

Origin: The Ficus Altissimo, Yellow Gem plant originates from the subtropical regions of Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Java, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, and South China.

Plant Care

Ficus Plant Care: Ficus Altissima or Yellow Gem thrives in bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. Too much sun can scorch the leaves of the Ficus. Water when the top one to two inches of the soil is dry. Avoid sudden temperature drops or exposure to drought.
